What are the measurements\u00a0a radar detector or laser detector can provide a warning from?\u00a0<\/strong>
\nIt\u00a0can give\u00a0a warning against radar and laser speed measurement as well as fixed speed cameras. What are measurements a “laser jammer” can prevent from?<\/strong>
\nAny measurements\u00a0obtained by a laser or “laser binoculars” are actively prevented. The speed of the vehicle can not be measured.<\/p>\n

How can I get a warning against fixed speed camera or red light traffic cameras?<\/strong>
\nYou can\u00a0get an early\u00a0warning by using\u00a0a GPS camera detector. For example, there are the GPS devices\u00a0KAZA DT100\u00a0wireless and\u00a0Mr Handsfree Spy, they are an ideal complement to your radar detector and laser jammer. The coordinates of speed cameras or speed measurement points across Europe are saved in the\u00a0database and warn\u00a0based on a GPS signal. Regular updates for these GPS camera detectors with the latest database information with new speed cameras can be\u00a0downloaded online for free.<\/p>\n

How can a radar detector provide a warning, if fixed cameras measure “from behind” (e.g. Austria, Switzerland, France)?
\n<\/strong>Here the emitted radar signals are indeed in the direction of travel but before reaching the camera a good radar detector\u00a0issues a warning\u00a0early enough.\u00a0This is\u00a0also applicable to use the front of fixed radar detector. Since the warning distance is shorter, however, a very good radar detector\u00a0like the\u00a0Genevo One Black Edition, the\u00a0Valentine One, the\u00a0Whistler GT 468GXi\u00a0or the\u00a0Escort Redline EX International radar detector\u00a0should be choosen long-range or sensitivity. \nThe installation of a hidden fixed radar detector like e.g. the Stinger VIP<\/a>,\u00a0 Genevo Assist<\/a>, a laser jammer like the\u00a0Laserjammer Antilaser Priority\u00a0and a\u00a0GPS detector\u00a0is the best solution and protects against almost all measurements (except\u00a0pure video recordings\u00a0by the police – therefore we have blueye). What is the detection\u00a0range of a radar detector?<\/strong>
\nThe range of a radar detector ranges from 80m-500m (partly even more). Local conditions such as curves, mountain tops, bridges, etc. can affect performance slightly. Much more\u00a0advanced radar detectors such as\u00a0the\u00a0Genevo One M radar detector\u00a0offers better range and are placed due to the better sensitivity in the upper price segment.<\/p>\n

Why are the price differences for radar detectors\u00a0so widely spread?<\/strong>
\nThe radar detectors differ mainly on the sensitivity and detection range, but also by special features such as voice output and the number of sampled frequencies. Even cheaper radar detectors work, but the range is less than a\u00a0high end radar detector. Fixed-mounted radar detectors such as the\u00a0Stinger VIP,\u00a0BEL STiR Plus GPS\u00a0or the new Genevo PRO M radar detector<\/a>\u00a0are technically complex and therefore\u00a0more expensive.<\/p>\n

What is the impact of metallized\u00a0heated front windscreens\u00a0on the performance of a radar detector??
\n<\/strong>The radar detectors for use in the cockpit also operate in the presence of such windscreens, but\u00a0with a slightly\u00a0limited range. We recommend the purchase of a highly sensitive radar detector or a fixed radar detector installation solution for your radar detector in the vehicles front.<\/p>\n

Can there be a laser measurement warning early enough by a radar laser detector?<\/strong>
\nLaser measurements are made within a second, but these are then registered\u00a0in a wide circle. Therefore if a preceding vehicle is measured, is still sufficient reaction time. Similarly, the first\u00a0laser measurement\u00a0is not always effective immediately. For example, on the\u00a0Anti-laser\u00a0Priority Laser Jammer\u00a0switches off after successful disruption for some time, to allow a new measurement.<\/p>\n

What is the size of a radar detector?<\/strong>
\nRadar detectors\u00a0have dimensions\u00a0like a\u00a0cigarette\u00a0box and therefore very inconspicuous inside the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Is there a need that\u00a0the installation of a radar detector must be performed by a professional technician?<\/strong>
\nRadar detectors can be easily taken into operation by any user.\u00a0for an installation of a\u00a0laser\u00a0jammer\u00a0or an fixed\u00a0hidden\u00a0radar detector, it is advisable to\u00a0ask a workshop\u00a0to do\u00a0the installation. In general, you can make it with professional technical skills and certaincar electrics knowledge.<\/p>\n

Where is the best place to install a radar detector? What has\u00a0to be considered?<\/strong>
\nRadar detector can be attached to the front window windscreen with small suction cups, alternatively,\u00a0some radar detectors offer a Velcro connection on the dashboard or the assembly with a clip on the sun visor. The necessary mounting hardware is supplied complete. In any case, the radar detector must have a clear view of the road – an installation in the glove compartment, etc. prevents the proper function.<\/p>\n

How long does it take to get the radar detectors installed on the dashboard?<\/strong>
\nThe initial installation takes about 30 seconds, later mounting and uncoupling under 5 seconds – in fact,\u00a0easy and fast to handle!<\/p>\n

Can radar detectors be used in different vehicles?<\/strong>
\nIn principle, radar detectors are very mobile and can be alternately used in other vehicles (e.g. when car hiring). Exception: radar detectors for permanent installation in the engine compartment (e.g.\u00a0radar detector Stinger VIP,\u00a0radar detector Stinger Card,\u00a0radar detector BEL STiR Plus GPS\u00a0or new Genevo PRO M).<\/p>\n

Can I operate radar detector and laser jammer in parallel?<\/strong>

Can radar detectors and laserjammers be scanned or detected electronically by the police?<\/strong>
\nNo, all the offered radar detectors in our shop are undetectable (so-called VG-2 function).<\/p>\n

Do\u00a0I need a software update for the radar detectors (no GPS products)?<\/strong>
\nSome radar detectors can theoretically receive an update, but there is a regular basis, unchanged police radar frequencies\u00a0do not\u00a0require updates. Nevertheless, in such a special\u00a0case we will inform on our website. Basically this is a subordinate factor in the purchase decision for a radar detector.<\/p>\n

Are there false alerts when operating a radar detector?<\/strong>
\nFalse alarms can occur if there are radar frequencies operated door opener, etc. (eg at petrol stations or in city centers) in the range of the radar detector. \nNo, the new radar detectors will not be disturbed by any mobile telephony.<\/p>\n

What can\u00a0I do against false alerts?<\/strong>
\nThe radar detectos do offer\u00a0a filter as well as\u00a0a mute function that you can switch the first beep in the event of an alarm automatically to a gentle click.<\/p>\n

Do the radar detectors work in all European countries?<\/strong>
\nYes, most radar detectors work very reliably in all foreign countries, for almost all\u00a0radar detectors\u00a0we have\u00a0received positive comments over the use in Europe. All recommendations are based on our customers’ experience.<\/p>\n

\nShipment\u00a0will be by UPS within Germany (fixed EUR\u00a07,90 shipping costs –\u00a0for free when\u00a0>150 EUR order volume<\/u>), to other European countries via UPS (fixed EUR 14,90 –\u00a0for free when >150 EUR order volume<\/u>)).
